KINKAJOUS
Some interesting facts about our furry nocturnal namesake:
They are the size of a small house cat.
Peak activity is usually between 8pm and 2am.
They quickly form friendship groups and share social interactions.
They are vocal animals, and though seldom seen, they are often heard talking in the tropical rainforest canopy.
During daylight hours, kinkajous sleep in tree hollows or in shaded tangles of leaves, avoiding direct sunlight.
Serious claws and rounded ears give the kinkajou the nickname “Honeybear”.
